Last month, Next of Can made a massive donation to its new partner, Sanneh Foundation. The partnership allows Next of Can to reach kids internationally by sending equipment to their Haiti Initiative. Next of Can sent 1,072 jerseys, 250+ socks, 250+ soccer shorts, and 50+ soccer balls. Half of the equipment was distributed throughout Minneapolis and the other half was sent to Haiti.
The Sanneh Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Minneapolis that focuses on using soccer as a tool for youth development. The foundation was founded in 2003 by Tony Sanneh, a former professional soccer player who played for the United States men's national soccer team, and various professional clubs in Europe and the United States. Their mission is to provide positive environments, opportunities, and experiences for underprivileged youth to grow, learn, and succeed. The foundation's programs include after-school academic support, soccer camps and clinics, college and career readiness, and leadership development. Overall, the Sanneh Foundation has positively impacted the lives of thousands of young people through its programs and continues to work towards its vision of creating a world where all children can reach their full potential.
The Sanneh Foundation has been a great partner to work with on the distribution of soccer equipment. We have already begun to start plans on sending future equipment to their Haiti Initiative.
Stay tuned to hear more about future donations!
What a great initiative!
